bcb**filter**y c**filter**nt :

bo**filter**y co**filter**nt is the eponymous debut album of American heavy metal band b**filter**dy c**filter**nt. Released in 1992, the album material focuses on various social and pol**filter**al issues ranging from po**filter**e brutality to dr**filter**g abuse. The album presents a turning point in the career of Ice T, who co-wrote the album's songs with lead guitarist Ernie C and performed as the band's lead singer. Previously known only as a rapper, Ice T's work with the band helped establish a crossover au**filter**nce with rock music fans. The album produced one single, "There Goes The Neighborhood."

b**filter**dy c**filter**nt is best known for the inclusion of the controversial song "Cop k**filter**r," which was the subject of much crit**filter**m from various pol**filter**l figures, although many defended the song on the basis of the group's right to freedom of speech. Ice T eventually chose to remove the song from the album, although it continues to be performed live. Although the album received mixed reviews, it was ranked among the Village Voice's list of the 40 Best Albums of 1992, and is believed to have helped pave the way for the mainstream success of the rapcore genre, although the album itself does not feature rapping in any of its songs.

Home Invasion :

Home InvasionHome Invasion was the first album Ice T released following the controversy over the b**filter**dy c**filter**unt song "Cop **filter**r". Warner Bros. Records had stood by freedom of expression during the controversy, although some within the company now favored a more pragmatic po**filter**y. Home Invasion was originally set for a November 15, 1992 release, but the L.A. riots were still fresh in people's minds, an election was in process, and pol**filter** releases by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were causing controversy, so Ice T agreed to postpone Home Invasion's release, in addition to removing the song "Ricochet", which had already appeared on the soundtrack to the film of the same name.

With the album's release posponed to February 14, 1993, Warner Bros. Told Ice T that they would not release the album with its current artwork, which depicted a white child who was engrossed in black culture in the middle of images of viol**filter**ce. Ice T initially agreed, opting for an all-black cover and a name-change to The Black Album. He later realized that his future output was going to be continuously monitored and cen**filter**d, and left the label, signing a contract with Priority Records, who released the album with the original artwork. Due to the postponed release of the album, tracks were altered to keep the topics up-to-date.
